Stanislav Gorokhivskyi
My music journey, or to be more precise, my classical music journey began when I was already 21 years old, in February 2011 (although, a couple of months before that, I recall that I started to listen to some Chopin's music, and really liked it). Only then I started to learn to play the piano, and also began to sing in the local church choir. At first I learned the piano mainly by myself from music video lessons on YouTube, and by digging into the music theory, and very basic piano books. In the same time some of my friends really helped on the start of my journey by explaining the basics of: chords, melody, rhythm, improvisation, singing. After a few months I began to learn to play the piano with a music teacher in the music school. During those 3-4 years I learned playing the piano with the teacher. Within that time I started to play in a worship band at my local church, and was also later invited to be a part of the project where the band had to have a couple of concerts (2012) in a few different towns (the music I played there with band was mainly: covers of Jesus Culture, Misty Edwards, etc). As for my classical music journey, it continued, and in 2014 I was accepted in the preparatory courses of the local music college (by that time I started playing on some gigs, and also performed piano solo on local concerts / art events). Unfortunately, I didn't receive a college scholarship in 2015, so I decided to take some pause with the music studying. After couple of months (still in 2015) I returned to the piano (and the choir as well) with a different mindset, and other objectives. From the beginning of 2016 I decided to prepare to enroll in the music school in Kyiv. I passed the exams and got a scholarship in the school. So I began to study in Kyiv, and also attended the local church choir, where music performed was more complex and skills demanding. After finishing an academic year in 2017 I returned to my home town Ternopil (as somewhere at that time, probably even beginning of 2017, my right hand ache progressed, which previously started back in 2015 on prior to the college exams), and also took a pause to think about my motivation in music, my aims, and meaning of my engagement into it, as well as to have a time for my right hand healing process - latter, I guess, was the main reason of slowing down. After some treatment of my right hand ache (Diagnosis was tennis elbow) in different clinics, I realized that it probably can be a little longer playing-the-piano break than I expected, so in Fall of 2018 I started to play the piano only with the left hand. Since that time I've been playing and learning new piano pieces for the left hand. Right now (August 2020) I'm preparing my right hand for the reunion soon, but still there is no guarantee it will be perfectly fine, even though my right hand feels much more better now.

And regarding the pieces I presented here - most of them are written in classical crossover. The first piece that is here, was composed by me in 2013 (in the same time, I started to improvise on piano on early stage of learning the instrument, so some of my pieces, which are in my personal archive, from 2011).
